Continuity Sequence

Above is my continuous sequence involving filming and editing a character opening a door, crossing a room and sitting down in a chair opposite another character with whom then exchanges a couple of lines of dialogue. This sequence consists of a match on action shot, reverse shot and the 180 degree rule.
I began by planning my sequence on a story board; this meant including everything we wanted in the title sequence such as, camera angles, costume, cinematography, sound etc.
The next stage was filming the action, unfortunately this proved to be quite difficult for my group as the outcomes presented shots and angles which was unexpected and we needed to improve; but when re-shooting the outcome had minimal improvements – this made the next part of the task quite difficult because we had limited good shots to work with.
To edit the shots I used the software final cut pro, this was the first time using this software but I found it quite easy to pick up and understand the basics tools in order to form the outcome.
I feel my outcome could be improved because parts in the sequence appear ‘jumpy’ and doesn’t flow well E.g. When Harry walks to his sit. When watching it back I also noticed an error – when Harry walks in the chair is empty but in the next shot the other character is in the chair.
Overall I feel our teamwork could have been better because this would have contributed to creating a more successful, smooth outcome; but found the experience will help me when filming and editing my title sequence.
