Journal - 10/01/13 The phone

Today we filmed our phone shot, my role in this was ensuring we had a phone with us and making sure the green screen was available. We filmed on a green screen because we want to add and exploding effect, we will be doing this when we continue to edit. I feel we need to improve on the steadiness of the camera in this footage because it was constantly moving but other than that I feel it was successful because I really like the angle at which the phone is captured because it is in the centre of the frame making it the main focus.

After Effects Test

Above is our first after effects test, I feel it was successful because we was able to change the green screen into a desired background. However from this outcome we discovered the camera movement was obvious and it was difficult to identify a black phone on a black background and so concluded we needed to capture the footage again with a tripod and a white phone, in order to create contrast which will allow the phone to stand out. When adding this footage to our final outcome we will be adding foley sound to enhance the sense of realism and emphasis the genre; action.
